Stages 4–5 Walkthrough for I Wanna Test The Game

Stages 4 and 5 separate casual tryhards from players who will actually see Sagat in I Wanna Test The Game. Bring the habits from Stages 1–3: save often, suspect empty space, and refuse panic double jumps.

Stage 4 — Moving platforms

Watch a full movement cycle before boarding. Jumping onto a platform at the wrong extreme of its path is a classic death. Camera control matters—remember there is no Shift Lock (PC controls). If a platform edge looks safe but clips you into lava, treat it as a trap and compare with All Traps.

Save as soon as a station appears after the moving section. Retry distance hurts more here than in Stage 1.

Shop timing between mid stages

If a shop appears after Stage 4 or before the maze exit, push gun level again (Gun upgrades. Persistent gun XP is the quiet advantage that makes Stage 6 sane.

Stage 5 — Maze of Doom

The maze combines navigation memory with spike/troll placement. Method:

  1. Pick a wall-follow or landmark strategy and stick to it.
  2. Mark dead ends mentally (or on paper if you are tilting).
  3. Clear combat encounters without greed—mini-boss telegraphs train Sagat reads.
  4. Save whenever the layout offers a station, even mid-maze.

Moving slowly is optimal. Running creates misreads that cost five minutes each.

Mini-boss and combat notes

Equip the gun with Q/E (or console equivalents) before fights. You cannot rely on shooting during parry animations. Practice single parries using How to Parry on smaller enemies so Sagat fireballs feel familiar.

Prep checklist before Stage 6

See where community difficulty rankings place these rooms in the stage tier list and trap tier list. Tick progress in the stage checklist.

If you are stuck for more than 30 minutes

Change one variable only: slower movement, different camera height, or a short break. Installing a script from Scripts will clear the room and erase the lesson—use that path only if you accept the tradeoff.

Stages 4–5 are where the Roblox beta stops being a meme and becomes a real precision game. Leave with gun levels and a calm parry finger.

Moving platforms (Stage 4)

Board on the predictable part of the cycle. Jumping to a platform at full speed without reading its path is a top death cause. Camera control without Shift Lock means reposition with the stick/mouse before the leap.

Maze of Doom (Stage 5)

Map a breadcrumb of safe nooks. If you discover a trap the hard way, name it, Retry from a real save, and advance one corridor further than last attempt. Mini-boss pressure here is a parry preview—warm up with How to Parry.

Second shop

Top off gun levels before Sagat. Hoarding XP into the boss door is a common mistake.

Platform greed checklist

  • Did I watch one full movement cycle?
  • Is my camera already facing the landing?
  • Do I have a double jump reserved for correction—not wasted on takeoff?
  • Did I save after the section?

Maze psychology

The Maze of Doom lengthens Retry tax. That is why saves matter more here than on Stage 1. Explore one branch farther than last death, then bail to a known safe tile. Mini-boss contact is your cue to apply parry lessons before the real Sagat exam. After Shop 2, do not wander—route into How to Beat Sagat.
